St. George

Grandpa teaching Riley how to swing the bat. By the end, Riley actually hit (I should say made contact) by herself!

This is the playground at our condo. Riley and Shelby loved playing in it especially since it had sand!

The Life Of Riley

We were so excited to go to St. George this year. We had to bring so much stuff that my parents had to take some of it with them. Even with our car completely full, we still forgot the high chair, which wasn't such a bad thing because I have no idea where we would of put it. Riley loved St. George, probably because we were doing something for the kids the entire time. When we left, Riley said that this was a really sad day. When we got home, she said,"ok mom, what are we going to do now?" I said that we were going to do the laundry and put away our stuff. I don't know how much she liked that answer. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for all the fun that we had in St. George!

Travis and Rachel's Graduation

A family photo after Travis's graduation. It was pouring rain that day and it was way hard to find a parking space, but we survived. Good job Rachel and Travis!

Springtime

I was looking at my pictures and I just had random ones for the springtime. So here they are! This was the day before Mother's Day. All the girls get to go out to eat and then shopping. The best part of it all is that there are no children!! It is very relaxing and fun. Thanks dads for watching the children and so we could get a break!!

Shelby loves wearing my sunglasses. She was wearing my sunglasses and pushing the stoller all around the house. It was pretty funny.

One day I looked over while we were eating lunch and Shelby was asleep! I guess that she was a little bit tired. I couldn't believe it so I had to take a picture.

This is Riley and Nevaeh in Shelby's crib talking to each other on the phone.

Riley's bike

Riley got a bike for Easter and was so excited to use it that she drove it around the kitchen for days until it was nice outside. We finally got to go outside and Riley was a little bit scared. Every time that was a SLIGHT inclination she would start screaming. Then there is this small hill on the walking path that she was terrified to go down and so I told her that she could just get off the bike and walk down it. Well, she stopped almost 3 blocks before the hill and started walking because she was nervous about the upcoming hill. Nothing I could say could convince her to get back on the bike and ride it until we actually got to the hill. So, we walked for 3 blocks and then she got back on. After the bike ride we decided that the seat needed to be lowered and now she is doing much better.

Easter

Riley and Shelby opening their Easter baskets.

This is Ryan's family including Hal's grandskids.

Riley is helping Shelby look for eggs.

Riley and Hudson looking for eggs.

Riley was a little bit confused at first because she thought that she could only find the eggs that we brought to the hunt. After Ryan told her that she could just get any egg then she started doing better.

Ryan helping Riley get an egg at Grandma McAllister's party.

Shelby couldn't decided if she wanted to eat it now or look for more eggs.

Fun with the cousins

All the kids decided to go outside and play. It didn't last too long though since the temperature was in the 40s. This was so funny. I just got done feeding Shelby and I looked over and Brad was feeding Shelby off of his tray. She, of course, was all for it because she was getting food.

This is everyone dying Easter eggs. We also did it this year with ties and they turned out pretty cool thanks to Rachel B.

Riley and Mac got to ride with Travis on the way to Grandma McAllister's house. They were so excited. Rachel said that she looked back one time and they were holding hands. Cute!

All the kids with their birds nest.

This is chinese noodles and marshmellows with chocolate and butterscotch
chips. Then jelly beans for the eggs and peeps for the bird. Very creative and yummy!

The kids played dress up and Riley decided to try on my out dance custom. It was pretty funny.

Riley and Avie. They are almost exactly one year apart. It is amazing what happens in one year!

Riley's hair

This is Riley after she decided to cut her own hair. I don't know if you can tell but the entire side is a lot shorter. THere are some parts that are less than an inch short. My idea of leaving it long enough to fit in a pony tail is over. We asked her why she cut her hair and she said, "to make my hair pretty."

This is Riley's hair after her haircut. I cut about 7 inches off. I thought that it looked so cute. I didn't want to cut it too short because then I couldn't put it in a ponytail. Well, that idea didn't work. I am thinking of cutting it even shorter.

Shelby Food McBride

I thought this was so funny. One day I looked over at Shelby and she had gotten the Captain Crunch cereal out of the cupboard, took the sack out of the box and started eating it. I said Shelby what are you doing and she just laughed and laughed because she was so proud of herself. Shelby just LOVES food. She would eat the entire day if you let her. If you don't feed her fast enough then she will cry. So you can imagine her delight when she was able to get her own food all by herself.

St. Patrick's Day

We didn't do a whole lot this St. Patrick's Day. The girls dressed in their matching green shirts (thanks to Donna) and we went to the store and Wendy's. Riley thought it was fun because we got to have cupcakes and ice cream and she got to wear green socks with "old men" on them.

This was so funny because Shelby wanted to hold Riley's hand in the store and walk around. She of course would not even let me touch her and she wouldn't let go of Riley's hand. Riley loved being the big sister and leading Shelby around the store while I took pictures.

Shelby and her daddy. Ryan is by far Shelby's favorite. You would think with all the work that I do for her that I should get some credit, nope. She loves her daddy!!
