The Hollywood Connection

We went to the Hollywood Connection with some of Ryan's family on Memorial Day. It is kind of like the 49th street Gallery, f0r those of you who can remember. They had an arcade room, which is great for little kids because you don't even have to spend money. Riley and Hudson had a blast sitting in the broken down school bus that didn't even work with money. I hope that Riley doesn't take after her dad as far as motocycles are concerned because she already has the stance down.

After seeing all the kids play the arcades, Camille, Donna, and I decided that it was our turn to be kids. We played the Dance, Dance Revolution. Who knew you could get a workout playing an arcade game??? It was great!!

Riley went on the merry-go-round and loved it!! She loved all the animals and the relaxed slow pace of it. We also went on this bus ride where you went up and down that she absolutely hated. Sadly, I think that she takes after me as far as amusement rides are concerned. I didn't go on the Colossus until my 9th grade Lagoon Day and I think that Riley is headed for the same route.

Ryan's Life Expectancy Has Increased by 50%

Ryan finally bit the bullet and sold his bike!! He bought it right after he got off his mission. We had a lot of fun with it in Logan when we were going to school, but hadn't used it in a few years. He sold it to a guy that just moved here from San Antonio, Texas. Ryan was sad to see it leave, but to tell you the truth, I wasn't. In my old age, it made me nervous. You might ask what Ryan is going to do with the money??? Something that Ryan will have just as much fun with, a lawn mower!!!

At the Races

Believe it or not, Riley LOVED wearing her ear muffs. I would try to take them off when she didn't need them and she had a fit. Crazy.

Payton and Riley just waiting to see their dads race.
Riley loves Ryan's race car. It is pretty loud and she didn't even get scared at all when she was in it and Ryan started it.
Ryan (left) had to race his friend Clint, which is a total bummer since Clint has been racing for so long and is pretty good. It was fun to see them both at the starting line, but depressing because one of them will for sure have to get out. Ryan ended up losing, but don't worry, there's always next week!!

The Zoo

We went to the zoo and saw all the animals. Riley loved it, pointed at all the animals and went "oooo." I was worried Riley would get sunburned, so I had this crazy idea to put sunscreen in her hair. Bad idea. Riley ended up having extremely greasy hair and a sunburned scalp. Next time I will bring a hat!
We took this picture next to the pretend gorilla because the real gorillas weren't there. Riley was terrified of it. Funny how she loved the real animals, but not the fake ones.

Easter

This was Riley's first offical Easter Egg Hunt where she could actually participate. It took her a few minutes to catch on, but she got the hang of it and she cried when we had to stop!
Since it was Easter I decided that it was ok if Riley had a chocolate chip cookie in her car seat. :) She ate the entire thing and then fell asleep. She woke up an hour later with chocolate stuck all over her face and body.
This was Riley's Easter dress. The big spot on it is water that she spilled on herself right before we took the picture.
One of Riley's Easter outfits. Riley kept looking in the fireplace behind her and smiling to see how cute she looked with the sunglasses. It was hiliarious.

First Swim of the Season

We went swimming with the cousins. It took Riley a few minutes to actually get in the water, but then she loved it!! Water kept splashing in her face and she kept saying "eyes, eyes!"
