Shelby can Walk!

Shelby learned to walk this last week. She isn't perfect at it, but she is getting a lot better. Her favorite thing to do is to hold on to your hand and then walk. It is so fun to watch her walk though.

This is Shelby's car that she got for Christmas. I think that Shelby loves pushing Riley in the car as much as she likes driving in it.

Alvin and the Chipmunks

`` We went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks for Hudson's birthday. We went to Build a Bear before and Riley chose a dog, and named it Sadie, and Hudson chose Alvin. The movie was really fun and now whenever we sing "All the Single Ladies," Shelby starts to sing and dance. Thanks for birthday, Hudson!!

Christmas time - 2009

All the girls got the same dress from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas. Riley loved hers because it wasn't "itchy," which is definitely the most important thing for Riley.

Riley was a cow for the navity play that the children put on at Grandma Mac's. I could tell that she really liked it when we sang "Silent Night," because Riley mooed through the entire song.

Shelby and mom on Christmas day. That is her favorite blanket. She only sucks her thumb if she has that blanket!

Riley went out to play in the snow for the first time. She reminded me of the kid on the Christmas story.

She loved playing in the snow. She even sat on the tube while the four wheeler pulled it. However, I think that her favorite thing was eating it!

Fall - 2009

Halloween was an adventure this year. Riley was a lion, which she loved because she got to say "roar" and Shelby was the skunk. However, on the actual day of Halloween, Riley got sick so she missed the parade in Grantsville. She did feel a little bit better and wanted to go trick or treating. She thought it was pretty cool that she got to around getting candy from people's houses. I don't know how much Shelby liked it because she is not too fond of hats so all she wanted to do was take her costume off.

This is Riley in her kitchen. She loves making food and sitting at her table and eating it. She first asks you what you want and pretends like she is writing it down and then she makes it. She then gives it to you and watches you eat it. I would venture to say it is one of her favorite things to do.

This is Riley on her birthday. She turned 3 this year!! She was so excited because now she is a "big girl."

Riley and Hudson on Riley's couch that she got for her birthday. The couch is a definite hit. The only problem is that Shelby likes it too so she tries to climb on Riley when she is watching T.V. and you know how that goes, not good. Riley immediately starts screaming "Ahh! Shelby's getting me!!" I try and remind Riley that Shelby is a baby, but somehow I just don't think that Riley gets it.

4th of July - 2009

All the kids got in the back of grandpa's truck and were in big Marriott-Slaterville parade. It was a bitter sweet parade because Anna broke her elbow and couldn't be here. Don't worry she is already making plans for next year.

Riley, Shelby, and dad on the swings at the park.

summer of 2009

We went to Lagoon and I was a little bit nervous how Riley would like it. She ended up loving it. The kiddy rides were perfect for her. She wasn't too fond of Puff though, I think that it was a little bit too much for her.

We went with Ryan's family which made it even more fun because Riley had someone to go on all the rides with.

This is when we went to the zoo. Riley loved seeing all the animals even though we were sooo hot!!

This is Riley and Sidney playing in the water at Grandpa and Grandma's. I don't know why I put Riley's swimsuit on because she was petrified of getting wet.

We went fishing at the fish farm and Grandpa (and Travis) helped Riley catch a fish. Riley had a blast.

Shelby

We were blessed to have a second baby girl on Feb. 5th, 2009. This is Shelby at 4 months.

This is Shelby Ryann McBride with her dad on her blessing day.

This is Shelby with her mom on St. Patrick's Day.

This is Shelby at 1 month.

This is Shelby with Riley. This is as close as Riley would get to her when she was first born.
